Choose repair when damage is limited
Panel replacement is practical when the mesh is otherwise in good condition and only a few sections are torn by pets, branches, pressure washing, or normal wear.
Choose rescreening when the cage keeps failing
Full rescreening makes more sense when many panels are brittle, faded, sagging, or loose. If new tears appear every few weeks, the enclosure may be past simple repair.
Ask about door and hardware issues too
During a rescreen, it is a good time to address screen doors, bug sweeps, worn closers, and damaged lower panels.
